Automotive Electronics
FAKRA and HSD connectors are very important in automotive electronic products. These products are widely suitable for the field of connected vehicles, and can elevate the safety and reliability level of in car multimedia entertainment systems and automotive electronic systems to new heights. For the entire vehicle networking system related to vehicle system security, it has significant importance. It is currently widely used.
The so-called FAKRA is a car audio and antenna specification connector jointly launched by 12 European and American car manufacturers led by German car manufacturers in 2000, with a maximum of 40 pins. General FAKRA needs to meet the American USCAR and German FAKRA automotive standards. FAKRA has high performance and cost-effective RF characteristics.
FAKRA stands for FAchKReis Automobile (a team of automotive experts composed of engineers from BMW, Huber Suhner, Rosenberger, and other companies, with Huber Suhner's connector business and technology merged into Rosenberger in 2010). At first, FAKRA was required for BMW to connect car radio antennas, but now it has become the universal standard RF connector in the automotive industry and is widely used in the industry.
Vehicle mounted antenna system
Fakra connector: used to connect car mounted antennas such as shark fin antennas with the car's RF receiving module, achieving signal transmission for 4G LTE, 5G MIMO, Car2Car, WiFi, cellular RF, FM/AM broadcasting, satellite communication and other functions.
Vehicle central domain controller
FAKRA connector: commonly used to connect car antenna systems, such as GPS antennas, 4G/5G antennas, etc. If the central domain controller involves wireless communication functions, such as remote control, vehicle networking, etc., it may be connected to the corresponding antenna through the FAKRA connector. It supports signal transmission at frequencies of DC~6GHz or even higher, and has multiple interface types (such as A type, B type, C type, etc.) to adapt to different frequency bands and application scenarios.
Mini FAKRA connector: Compared to FAKRA connectors, it is smaller in size and suitable for situations with limited space. It may be used when the internal space of the central domain controller is compact or when connecting small antennas, sensors, and other devices. It can also support high-speed data transmission, with a single channel speed of up to 1Gbps or more, and has high transmission frequency and integration.
Vehicle mounted integrated navigation and positioning system
Widely used in various industries such as autonomous driving, precision agriculture, logistics transportation, tourism, cleaning and environmental protection, including unmanned vehicles, special equipment, robots, etc.
FAKRA connector: mainly used for connecting cars with the outside, such as shark fin antennas. T-BOX is connected to the car antenna through FAKRA connector to achieve transmission of satellite signals, car networking signals, etc., ensuring the normal operation of functions such as positioning, navigation, and remote communication.
Mini FAKRA connector: Compared to FAKRA connectors, Mini FAKRA has higher transmission frequency, speed, and integration, making it more suitable for T-BOX applications that require high space and high-speed transmission, such as connecting miniaturized antenna modules or exchanging data with other high-speed sensors.
HSD connector: commonly used in high-speed data transmission scenarios in automobiles, such as high-speed transmission from AVM to the host end and from the host end to the cabin end. In the T-BOX, the HSD connector can be used to connect the T-BOX with the vehicle's infotainment system, display screen, etc., enabling fast transmission of high-definition videos, audio, and large amounts of data to support functions such as navigation map display and remote monitoring video playback.
Car camera
HSD/LVDS connector: car HSD/LVDS female connector cable, 360 reverse image adapter cable, etc., can achieve high-definition video signal transmission of car reverse camera, with waterproof function and a protection level of up to IP67, which can adapt to harsh external environments of cars.
Mini Fakra connector: In some car reversing cameras, Mini Fakra connectors are used to connect the camera to the main control board and other devices. They have the characteristics of small size and good transmission performance, which can meet the space and signal transmission requirements of car electronic devices.
Fakra connector: Some cars use Fakra cable connectors for reversing rearview mirrors, such as Fakra E-type male to RCA male connectors. The Fakra connector has a color coded buckle to prevent accidental insertion. The main and secondary lock structures, as well as the elastic locking interlock structure, make the connection safe, convenient, fast, and reliable, meeting the high-performance and safe RF signal transmission requirements of the USCAR in the automotive industry.
